Introducing Crystals to Your Workspace

I was on the phone to my insurance company the other day, and the phone operator noticed my email address and asked if that had anything to do with crystals. We ended up having a long conversation about crystals and he admitted that he wanted to get some crystals for his desk at work, as there were a lot of customers taking their anger and frustration out on him. The fact that I even had this conversation with a middle-aged man with kids and a wife (we talked a lot!) - blew me away. Not your typical crystal lover, I thought.
My brother, also a middle-aged man, in a high-level executive role, has a big chunk of Smoky Quartz on his desk. I asked him if it bothers him that people may judge him for having a crystal on his desk, and he replied "It makes me feel more grounded and less stressed having it there, why should I care what other people think?"
At this moment in time, people are feeling so stressed out about the messiness of their lives and the chaos in the world, that they're becoming more open to anything that will help them feel more settled. Once classified as "alternate" and a bit "woo-woo", crystals are becoming more mainstream.
Hallelujah.
So - how do you choose the right crystals to have in your workspace? Well, it depends on what kind of work you do. Here are a couple of my suggestion

If you're dealing with lots of customers everyday, that's a lot of other peoples' energy you're working with - and it can drain on your energy.
Trying to remain upbeat and helpful can be challenging when you are faced with a not-so-happy customer.
In this current climate, it's highly likely that at times you will be dealing with anger, impatience and frustration. Crystals that protect and ground your energy are best for this environment.

Creativity blocks can be the worst! Every time I need to sit down to write an article or if I have any creative work to accomplish, I always have some crystals around me that work with creative energy.
These crystals will open up your mind to new ideas, uplift energy, and promote self-expression and optimism.
Crystals that promote courage and self-confidence are also good for creativity, as this is what can stop us from expressing our true selves. If we can work from the heart and release our fears - that's when we produce our best work.

Excel spreadsheet got you down? I hear you! I used to work in an office job as a Data Analyst, so my life was spreadsheets and formulas.
